WildKard is an eclectic, genre-breaking band of talented musicians who cross the sound borders of hip hop alternative rock and electro-pop music. The group of five consists of Justin “Snipa” Hall (vocals), Anthony “Ripper” Taylor (vocals), Sa’Derrick “K.I.P.” Smith (vocals), Travis Hoffman (guitar) and JJ Johnson (drums). WildKard was formally introduced in January 2009. Each band member shares a specific appreciation for a distinct genre of music: heavy metal, alternative and soft rock, R&B, electronica and hip hop; these differences come together perfectly to forge the sound that is WildKard. WildKard is rapidly becoming a household name in the city of Athens, home of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the starting place of many famous musicians such as R.E.M. and The B-52’s. WildKard first gained the talk of the town by bringing their refreshing sound to the Historic 40 Watt Club, out-selling the night’s headliner. The band has since performed to diverse crowds in Athens and Atlanta, opening for rapper Bubba Sparxxx and winning hundreds over at the 1st Annual H.E.R Hip-Hop Showcase along with major label artists Kidz In The Hall, Donnis & Dead Prez. In addition to their ambitious and exciting performance at the Annual A-Town Day Festival in Atlanta, WildKard plans to tour various colleges locally and nationwide to spread the effect of their infectious, exhilarating music. The experimental, lyrical, and energetic mentality WildKard expels clearly aims to have listeners moving for years to come, regardless of age or origin.
